KU lab uses ‘markerless motion capture’ technology to boost athletes’ performance

KU researchers are focusing their effort on sport performance. By measuring an athlete’s performance while conducting motions common to their sport, they can identify force generated during a pitcher’s windup. With that information, coaches and athletes can tell where the athletes’ strengths lie, where they may need improvement and even develop workout plans based on the information.
